About Valor
At Valor Preparatory Academy, we prepare boys aged 11–14 for success in academics, leadership, and character.

School days are Monday to Thursday
from 9:00 am to 3:00 pm.
Fridays are set aside for project days.
Valor Preparatory Academy is a new school and is not yet accredited. Because accreditation cannot be pursued until the school is operating in its first year, Valor plans to begin exploring the appropriate accreditation pathway after opening.
Although accreditation will come later, academic quality is a priority from the beginning. We are carefully selecting curriculum, instructional resources, assessments, and teaching practices that align with and are designed to meet or exceed applicable Georgia academic standards. Our curriculum decisions also reflect Valor’s commitment to strong core academics, individualized support, critical thinking, leadership development, and a Christ-centered worldview.
As Valor moves through its first year, we will evaluate the appropriate accreditation process and keep families informed of our progress.
We are launching Spring Semester of 2027, January 6th, 2027. Our last day of school is June 4, 2027.
According to the National Microschooling Center’s Sector Report, Microschools are innovative small learning environments, which have generally been established outside of traditional public education systems.
Enrollment Options
Valor offers three ways for boys ages 11–14 to participate based on their families’ educational needs.
Full-time enrollment is for students who are enrolled in Valor Preparatory Academy’s complete school program. Full-time students receive instruction in core academic subjects, including Language Arts, Math, Science, and Social Studies, along with Physical Education, social-emotional learning, biblical worldview development, leadership formation, and the full Valor Edge experience.
Homeschool Drop-In is a flexible support option for families who are already homeschooling. Students bring assignments and curriculum selected by their families and receive individualized help from Valor educators. Depending on the student’s schedule, he may also participate in selected enrichment, physical activity, character-building, and leadership experiences.
The Homeschool Valor Experience is a more comprehensive option for homeschool families who want their sons to participate more fully in Valor’s learning community while retaining the flexibility of homeschooling. It combines academic and enrichment activities with leadership development, real-world problem-solving, chapel and devotional experiences, physical activity, character formation, and career exploration.
Our team will help each family determine which option best fits its educational goals, desired level of support, and preferred schedule.
How much do the Homeschool Drop-In and Homeschool Valor Experience options cost?
Current tuition for the Homeschool Drop-In option is:

The Homeschool Drop-In option is designed for families seeking flexible academic support and selected enrichment experiences. The Homeschool Valor Experience provides a more comprehensive schedule that includes broader participation in Valor’s academic, leadership, faith-based, and real-world learning experiences.

Academics and Learning
Our target is approximately one educator for every eight students. Individual class sizes may vary, but we do not plan to exceed 15 students in a class.
A typical day blends strong academics with movement, fitness, and problem-based learning. Boys engage in mastery-based reading and math, participate in Socratic discussions, explore careers through real-world connections, and end the day with guided reflection to make sense of what they’ve learned and who they’re becoming. Technology is used as a learning tool at Valor, but students will not spend the entire school day in front of a computer. Computer-based platforms may be used for individualized practice, research, writing, assessments, and monitoring academic progress.
Students will also participate in educator-led instruction, small-group learning, hands-on projects, discussion, physical activity, leadership development, mentorship, and real-world learning experiences. The amount of computer use may vary by subject, assignment, and each student’s academic needs.
Our goal is to use technology intentionally to strengthen learning—not to replace teachers, relationships, movement, collaboration, or meaningful student experiences.
We track student progress using the systems outlined in our handbook, combining data from our digital learning tools with observational notes and reflection, and we share updates regularly with parents through clear reports, conferences, and ongoing communication so there are no surprises.
At this time, we are not set up to provide intensive clinical, therapeutic, or specialized services that require dedicated personnel.
Families should share relevant IEPs, evaluations, accommodation plans and educational records during the admissions process.
In line with our handbook, we provide thoughtful, individualized accommodations—such as flexible pacing, alternative demonstrations of mastery, and structured supports—to ensure each student can access learning and grow with confidence.
Valor Preparatory Academy combines rigorous academics, real-world learning, and character formation to develop confident, disciplined young men grounded in faith, leadership, and purpose.
Valor combines educator-led instruction, small-group teaching, adaptive academic tools, hands-on projects, Socratic discussion, physical movement, and real-world learning. Technology helps us identify skill gaps, personalize practice, and monitor growth, but it does not replace meaningful instruction, mentorship, collaboration, or experiential learning.
Faith, Culture, and Student Life
Parents are active partners in their sons’ academic, spiritual, and personal development. Families will receive regular communication, participate in conferences and school activities.
Our ultimate goal for Fridays are to host specials where parents contribute their professional knowledge, talents, or community connections in a way that engages our boys and helps them to grow.
We follow the guidance outlined in our school handbook, which emphasizes restorative, relationship-centered, Bible-related discipline. Conflict is addressed through reflection, accountability, and guided conversations that help boys repair harm, learn self-regulation, and grow in character—rather than relying on punitive measures alone.
Valor Preparatory Academy has a Jesus-First culture. Christ-centered education means that biblical truth shapes more than a single class or weekly chapel—it influences how we teach, lead, build relationships, address behavior, and help boys understand their purpose.
Students will participate in biblical worldview instruction, prayer, worship, Bible lessons, chapel, mentorship, and service experiences. Faith will also be integrated throughout the school culture as students are encouraged to demonstrate integrity, wisdom, compassion, responsibility, courage, and servant leadership.
Our educators and staff are expected to model the love of Jesus and create a highly relational environment where students are known, supported, challenged, and guided. Valor students will participate in a weekly chapel service to help reinforce biblical principles and encourage them on their journey to spiritual maturity.
When mistakes occur, discipline is approached as an opportunity for reflection, restoration, accountability, and growth.
Valor also partners with families to support each student’s spiritual, academic, emotional, and character development. Our goal is to help boys grow into young men who understand their God-given potential and are prepared to serve their families, churches, workplaces, and communities with faith and honor.
The Valor Edge is our integrated approach to education that combines strong academics, character and leadership formation, and real-world problem-based learning to develop capable, grounded, and purpose-driven young men.
Success at Valor means helping each boy grow academically, spiritually, emotionally, and socially. We want Valor graduates to know how to think critically, communicate respectfully, manage responsibility, learn from mistakes, serve others, and lead with wisdom, courage, faith, and integrity.
We don’t know what the future holds for these young men, but what we hope for is young men who will be great dads, husbands, ministers, friends, trustworthy business partners and colleagues who respond to the needs of their families communities and networks.
Partner FAQs
Valor Preparatory Academy is seeking relationships with churches, businesses, nonprofits, civic organizations, educational professionals, youth-development leaders, and community members who share a commitment to helping boys grow academically, spiritually, socially, and as leaders.
Partnership opportunities may include facility support, student referrals, mentoring, career exposure, guest instruction, service-learning projects, professional expertise, program sponsorships, in-kind contributions, and connections to other community resources. We welcome conversations about both immediate launch needs and long-term opportunities that strengthen students, families, and the surrounding community.
Valor is currently seeking a safe, accessible weekday facility in the Stockbridge, McDonough, or Hampton area. Churches and community organizations with available space are invited to begin with an introductory conversation with Valor’s leadership.
During that conversation, we would learn more about the organization’s available space, schedule, ministry or community priorities, and facility requirements. We would also share Valor’s mission, educational model, anticipated schedule, student population, safety practices, and space needs.
A facility partnership could involve leased space, shared-use space, donated space, or another mutually beneficial arrangement. Any agreement would be developed collaboratively and would clearly address scheduling, security, utilities, insurance, storage, maintenance, communication, and the responsibilities of each organization.

Businesses can help Valor students understand how academic skills, character, leadership, and problem-solving are applied beyond the classroom.
Partnership opportunities may include:
- Hosting age-appropriate workplace or site visits
- Providing guest speakers, demonstrations, or career talks
- Introducing students to different professions and industries
- Helping develop real-world projects or business challenges
- Supporting entrepreneurship, financial literacy, technology, or civic-learning activities
- Providing mentors or subject-matter experts
- Sponsoring student programs, events, equipment, or learning experiences
Valor will work with each business to develop an opportunity that is age-appropriate, educationally meaningful, and consistent with the company’s capacity and the school’s mission. Career exposure and community-connected learning are important parts of Valor’s commitment to preparing boys for purposeful leadership and service.
Yes. Valor welcomes interest from individuals who want to contribute their time, experience, professional knowledge, or community connections.
Mentors and volunteers may support students through enrichment activities, career exposure, academic assistance, leadership development, service projects, events, or other approved opportunities. Roles will vary according to the school’s needs, the individual’s experience, and the level of student contact involved. Individuals serving directly with students may be required to complete an application, interview, background screening, orientation, and any other applicable safety requirements.
Valor is also developing a non-governing Advisory Board composed of respected leaders who can provide strategic insight in areas such as education, finance, law, business, ministry, youth development, organizational leadership, and community partnerships. Advisory board members support the mission through quarterly meetings, thoughtful feedback, professional expertise, and strategic connections.
Individuals, churches, businesses, and community organizations can support Valor through financial gifts, student sponsorships, program sponsorships, in-kind donations, or contributions toward specific launch and operating needs.
Support may help provide:

Valor Preparatory Academy is a ministry of Godly Love Christian Fellowship. Financial contributions should be made through Valor’s approved giving channels so that gifts can be properly designated, recorded, and acknowledged.
