Our Journey to Building Men of Valor
Valor Preparatory Academy was born from a deep desire to address the unique challenges boys face during their formative years.
Our founder, Andrew Wells, M.Ed., witnessed firsthand how young boys often struggled with the tools needed for self-expression, emotional resilience, and leadership, all while navigating the rigid structures of traditional education.
With our innovative approach, The Valor Edge, we empower young men to excel academically, grow emotionally and become Christ-centered leaders.
Our Founder
Andrew Wells, M.Ed.
Andrew Wells brings a wealth of experience and passion to his mission of transforming education for boys aged 11–14. With a background as both a classroom teacher and the owner of Breakthrough Georgia LLC—a private tutoring business for middle school students—Andrew witnessed firsthand the unique challenges boys face during their formative years.
Throughout his career, Andrew observed boys grappling with emotional intelligence, self-expression, organization, and self-advocacy. At the same time, rigid educational models often failed to provide flexibility, meaningful engagement, or opportunities for leadership development. Inspired by these insights, he set out to create an environment where boys could thrive academically, emotionally, and spiritually.
At the heart of Valor Preparatory Academy is The Valor Edge, Andrew’s signature three-pillar educational approach that ensures a well-reounded, faith-centered education.
Andrew’s vision for Valor Prep is simple yet profound—to cultivate young men with the integrity, resilience, and courage to become servant leaders in their families, churches, and communities.
Under his leadership, Valor Preparatory Academy will be renowned as a nurturing, Christ-centered community that empowers boys to become Men of Valor and lead with purpose and faith.

📚Pillar 1 - Core Academics
We implement a technology-supported, co-taught, and co-learning academic model that includes one-on-one academic coaching and daily reflection. Each student is guided by a dedicated teaching team to ensure personalized and meaningful learning experiences.
💗Pillar 2 - Whole-Child Development
Valor fosters each learner’s well-being through a holistic approach that blends emotional intelligence (EQ), personal and leadership development, wellness practices, executive function coaching, ancestral awareness, parent engagement, and Biblical instruction.

We cultivate critical engagement—an integration of critical thinking and community involvement—through problem-based learning experiences. Our focus is on leadership development, career exposure, and civic participation, using dialogue and consensus-building strategies.
